On Saturdays, during the growing season, Lindsay Chandler, affectionately
known as The Glad Man, fills his truck with gladiolas, sunflowers, zinnias and
other favorites, and heads to the Memphis Farmer's Market, and Agricenter's
Farmer's Market, where his admirers are waiting with anticipation for his
premium flowers.

The Glad Man plants on his family's 60-acre Whitton, Arkansas, farm. The
farm, Green Acres, is recognized as one of the largest sources of quality
specialty-cut flowers in the Mid-South.

The Glad Man begins early on his farm each day, planting and replanting
flowers. He cuts as many as 2,500 gladiolas and 800 sunflowers a week with
hundreds more zinnias and specialty flowers to bring to market just for you.

This year, The Glad Man is growing melons and a few vegetables for your
pleasure.
